The newer versions of e2fsprogs-libs has both ss and com_err built into it, which will not emerge correctly without executing emerge -C ss com_err first. You may also have to unmerge e2fsprogs in order to install the newer version. Mine would not let me upgrade that package, but everything works fine now.

Anybody knows how to solve that?
Beware unmerge com_err before emerge e2feprogs-lib!
wget uses this shared library. Do emerge -f first.
