it's not the libmpdclient, it's a wrapper "Libmpd is a library to easily connect to a mpd server. It's wraps around libmpdclient and provides a higher level api."

great library, if it is the library i think it is (original name libmpdclient), which i'll check in a second, then the main page has moved to www.musicpd.org/libmpdclient.shtml
